Sydney – the city of love

According to Guinness World Records, Sydney Harbor Bridge is the world’s widest single-span bridge. The guide said that it took about ten years to build this 1,149 meter long and 134 meter high bridge in Popra. 52 thousand 800 tons of steel is needed to build the bridge. 7 million screws have been installed in this bridge. And all the screws are installed by hand. The bridge was officially opened on 19 March 1932. The construction of the bridge cost about 62 lakh 50 thousand pounds at that time.
Affectionately called the ‘Coat Hanger’ by the residents of Sydney. Because from a distance, the bridge looks like a coat hanger. When the bridge opened it was the first to connect the north and south ends of Sydney’s famous harbour. Around 11,000 vehicles crossed the bridge every day when it first opened. But currently the number of vehicles using the bridge has increased to 160,000. The Sydney Harbor Bridge’s main attraction is the world-famous fireworks display that takes place here. Cars run on 8 lines in the bridge. There are two train lines, a bicycle truck, and footpaths.
Every year during the English New Year, enthusiastic tourists from all over the world flock here to enjoy the fireworks display that takes place on both ends of the bridge, the nearby Sydney Opera House and the adjacent harbour. According to the guide, a beautiful view of the entire city can be seen from the Harbor Bridge. There is a facility to climb the bridge on foot. Tourists flock to take photos at sunrise and sunset. On the occasion of the festival, there are various food stalls on the beach, various fun activities for children, puppet shows. and various forms of entertainment.
The car stopped at the beach. The nearly 1 kilometer long beach is like a sheet of white sparkling sand. Car parking 100 yards from the beach, then a row of hotels and motels. At the end of the beach there is a restaurant with a swimming pool where the sea waves come and eat the house. The beach has picnic facilities. Electric ovens have a bar bq setting. Along with the sea tour, the Opera House, Harbor Bridge and the surrounding beauty can be enjoyed from the ship.
Paris – the city of love
Paris is a dream city. Paris is the most visited tourist destination in the world, attracting around 30 million tourists every year. With more than two thousand years of tradition, this city is one of the commercial and cultural centers of the world.
Apart from the main attractions of Paris, the Eiffel Tower is also home to the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Louvre Museum, which displays Leonardo da Vinci’s world-famous painting “Mona Lisa” alongside many historical objects; Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacre Coeur, Luxembourg Gardens, Luxembourg Palace, Palace of Versailles, Disneyland and many more. The main and first city of our Europe tour was Paris. As soon as we reached the airport, Manik, the younger brother and sister of the campus, arrived to pick us up. First trip abroad as a couple, Airbnb, Europe, Metro, everything is new to us. Maybe it would have taken a long time to understand everything, but with the help of two younger brothers and sisters, we landed at the airport in the evening and reached our Airbnb within an hour.
White Knight
We are also lucky, that day was the ‘White Night’ (Nuit Blanche) in Paris. Which is an art festival in Paris. On normal days, the metro service stops at 12:40 pm, but on this day, the metro runs all night, all the art galleries, museums are open till late night, all the friends come together to chat and enjoy the festival. All in all, a very festive night. Seeing Paris with so many festive lights, our tiredness of such a long journey disappears instantly. So left the bag and went out to see Paris at night. Our chat goes on until late at night on the banks of the Seine river, watching the Eiffel Tower.
The next morning I woke up and saw it was pouring rain. Looking out of the window of the room, the rain is falling between the maple trees lined up on both sides of the road. Our first watch in Europe. While lying in bed enjoying such a beautiful sweet morning, I decided to go out in the rain Whatever it is, get ready and go out. But when I came out I saw that the rain had stopped. Our visit to Paris begins.
The Paris Metro
To explore the city of Paris, there are metro, hip hop bus, and Seine river cruises to visit most of the tourist spots in Paris. But there is no alternative to walking to explore a city beautifully. If the spots are close, you can enjoy them more by walking. Moreover, the experience of seeing the beauty of Paris while walking along the river Seine is completely different.
Paris itself was the main attraction for us, so the extravagance of sightseeing was not that important to us. If you buy a day travel pass in Paris, you don’t need to buy separate tickets for buses, trains and metro. There are also different types of Paris passes for tourists, which can be purchased to enter most tourist places and museums. So if you buy a day pass according to your choice, you can save time and go around as you want. We had already decided not to enter any museum, just enter the Louvre and see the “Mona Lisa”. Because the lines to enter the museums are so long that a lot of time is wasted. It was a good decision to skip the museums to fully enjoy Paris in such a short time.
Dining in Paris
Hotel costs are high in Paris. So Airbnb can be a good option. There is no commercial thing like a hotel here. Apart from this, a good friendship is developed with a foreign family and it is possible to learn a lot about their lifestyle, which is also a very good experience. Our Airbnb host was a black woman named ‘Loulou’. His small cozy apartment was neatly decorated.
At the end of the day, the fun of returning to the room and relaxing on the comfortable sofa in the drawing room and watching TV was different, it felt like visiting a Parisian family, a feeling of home. Even though the host was not present during our stay, his niece welcomed us nicely Her poor English skills took a long time to realize that she was not our host but her niece. Our newly learned word from him is “Wifi” (Wifi), we are worse off to understand the meaning of this word, not knowing that the pronunciation of ‘Wi-Fi’ is ‘Wifi’ in French.

On the last day, after a full day’s sightseeing, we went again to Trocadero to spend the last time in Paris, where the beauty of the Eiffel Tower can be enjoyed several times more. The evening turns into night, now I have to go back, when I come back I just look at the Eiffel Tower, it was very difficult to say goodbye, the city has a different magic.
