Every year thousands of students from every country migrate to different countries of the world for higher education. From these countries, the countries where the most students are interested in going are the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Germany. Most of the foreign students apply to the higher education institutions of these countries usually from November to January. Apart from this, our students are also interested in China, Japan, South Korea.
Different type of countries around the world have more different rules for studying abroad. But with few exceptions some general rules are same in almost all type of countries of the whole world. So if you want to study abroad, you must first decide which country you want to go to. Then you have to collect information about the country’s education system, educational institutions, courses, scholarship opportunities, cost of living etc. Starting from the collection of these data, if you don’t keep some other information in mind, it can be a problem to achieve the desired goal in a timely and orderly manner.
After high school examination, many students think of admission in foreign universities. You should research the university at least one to one and a half years before the time you want to start your studies. But why you must have a valid passport wherever you go to study in the world. Along with that, all the certificates of educational qualifications acquired in Bangladesh, language skills and proof of financial solvency should be there.
1. UK
According to the UK government website, you must be over 16 to study as a student in the country. After passing the HSC or equivalent exam you can go to UK for graduate studies. Apart from this, you can also go for postgraduate, masters, various certificate courses or diplomas. To apply for a visa as a student, one must have a course offer from a recognized educational institution.
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies or CAS for short you must submit with your visa application. Also this letter will contain a reference number which you will have to submit with the application. An offer from an organization must be unconditional. If there are any conditions in the offer letter, you cannot apply for the visa.
➤ You must have sufficient funds to cover the costs of the course you are going to study and your living expenses in the UK. The amount will depend on the subject you are going to study and the length of the course.
➤ You must have funds to cover at least one academic year or 9 months of study and living expenses in the UK. However, the cost will be mentioned in your offer letter or confirmation of acceptance.
➤ You must have proof of English proficiency to study. Make sure 100% you can read, write, speak and understand English perfectly. There are some tests prescribed for this. A notable test is the IELTS. You can take part in these tests from authorized institutes.
➤ Apart from this you must show some documents. These include, passport, CAS or offer letter from the educational institution, proof of funds required for study and living, TB test certificate, financing your studies, etc. Apart from this, depending on the situation, the educational institution or the visa issuing authority may ask you for other documents.
➤ Regardless of the subject you are going to study, you must apply for a visa at least six months before the start of the course. You will usually know a decision on your application within three weeks. The number of days you can stay in the UK depends on the type of course you have taken and the length of the course. If you are 18 years of age or above and your course is at undergraduate level, you will normally have a five-year stay, otherwise you will normally have a two-year stay.
➤ You can also apply to take your spouse and children with you. However, if the course starts after 1st January 2024, you must be a PhD or a postgraduate student to take your partner. There is no list of good educational institutions in USA. So it is said that the best educational institution for you is the one that is most compatible with your educational, financial and personal capabilities and needs.

2. Canada
The requirements for studying in Canada vary by institution and course. However, there are some general rules, which are applicable to almost all educational institutions. To find an institution, you can visit the Government of Canada website called EduCanada, or the website of the Ministry of Education of the province in which you are interested in studying, and the website of the Canada Bureau for International Education. There is a list of educational institutions of various levels and detailed information.
➤ After finding the educational institution you need to apply for the choice. In that case, colleges and universities should start the application process at least one year before the commencement of the course. When you contact the educational institution you want to apply to, they will provide you with detailed information about the subject, application fees, tuition fees, health insurance, housing and living costs in Canada. If an institution is interested in accepting you, they will send a letter of acceptance. which need during your study permit application.

3. Australia
As in other countries, you need to decide where you want to study in Australia, which university will suit you. This is the main thing is for different courses or subjects have different type of eligibility requirements. However, English Language Proficiency Certificate is a must. In higher education you must have a bachelor’s degree.
➤ If you contact the educational institution in which you want to study, they will provide all the information and cost related to admission. If the application complies with all the rules, the decision is usually communicated within a few weeks. If you are considered eligible for admission, the institution will issue a letter of offer and an acceptance form. and the next step is to apply for a visa through the Australian Head Department of Home Affairs.
➤ You must have a valid Confirmation of Enrollment document to apply for a student visa in Australia. The visa must be applied for at least eight weeks before the start of your course. Visa must be applied online.
➤ All certificates of educational qualification will be required. If they are not in English, they must be translated and notarized. A copy of the original certificate along with the translated copy should be submitted along with the application form.

4. Germany
Many universities in Germany offer English language courses. According to gov. website estimates, there are at least 280 to 285 bachelor courses that are conducted in English lenguage only. And DAAD’s database has more than 1,400 international master’s programs.
➤ First decide the subject and contact the educational institution of your choice. Check whether the authority accepts your previous education certificate or not. If your certificate is not accepted by that university then a preparatory course of one year is required. But it will totally depend on your previous studies and the regulations of the university you want to join.
➤ Although the admission rules of different universities are different, there are some general rules. All that is required to apply for admission to an educational institution in Germany is a duly filled application form, all educational qualification certificates, their translated copies, passport copy and passport size photograph, proof of language proficiency.
➤ The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is one of the most important organizations that oversees the study of foreign students. All scholarship related information is available from DAAD Scholarship Database. Student accommodation in Germany is also relatively cheap.
➤ Although there are no tuition fees for studying at universities in Germany and living is relatively cheap, the authorities want to see if you have enough money to cover the costs of your studies.
